Invitation to the open meeting
I am privileged to invite interesting parties to attend the open on-line meeting with Professor Babatunde Rabiu, a respected space science and satellite navigation expert, and a newly appointed Director of the UN African Regional Centre for Space Science, Technology, and Education in Nigeria.
The UN African Regional Centre for Space Science, Technology, and Education in Nigeria and University of Applied Sciences Hrvatsko Zagorje Krapina have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding, thus establishing a framework for collaboration in research, consultancy, and education in the areas of mutual interests.
The meeting will be held on-line on Wednesday, 9th November, 2022, starting at 17.00 CET, using the Google Meet service. Interesting participants are kindly advised to submit their e-mail requests for participation, with the contact details, to Mr Nenad Sikirica, Dean of UASHZK, e-mail: nsikirica@vhzk.hr, by 9th November, 2022 at 12.00 to receive the Google Meet access link. The open meeting has been agreed to introduce the results, intentions, and plans of both parties, as well as to present the key individuals who will lead and manage the collaboration activities to all the stakeholders.
The proposed agenda is structured, as follows.

2. Presentation of UN Regional Centre in Nigeria, and its research activities (Prof Rabiu)
3. Presentation of Laboratory for Spatial Intelligence and Laboratory for Internet of Things/Industry 5.0 at UASHZK (Prof Filjar)
4. Discussion and action points
5. Adjourn
The organisers welcome the registered participation of scientists, researchers, engineers, UASHZK partners, industry, media, and general audience interested in the presentation of the new international collaboration of UASHZK.
